Details:
It was discovered that CUPS incorrectly handled logging. A remote attacker
could use this issue to cause CUPS to crash, resulting in a denial of
service, or possibly execute arbitrary code.
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions: Ubuntu 23.04: cups 2.4.2-3ubuntu2.1 Ubuntu 22.10: cups 2.4.2-1ubuntu2.1 Ubuntu 22.04 LTS: cups 2.4.1op1-1ubuntu4.2 Ubuntu 20.04 LTS: cups 2.3.1-9ubuntu1.3 Ubuntu 18.04 LTS: cups 2.2.7-1ubuntu2.10 In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
