Debian 10: DLA-3706-1 critical: php-requests flaw in handling HTTP requests

debian lts
Calendar Grey December 31, 2023
Dist Debian Esm H88
Debian LTS advisory DLA-3706-1 addresses critical php-guzzlehttp-psr7 flaw for potential data breaches.
It was discovered that php-guzzlehttp-psr7, a PSR-7 message implementation, performed improper header parsing, which may lead to information disclosure or authorization bypass

Summary

An attacker could sneak in a newline (\n) into both the header names and
values. While the specification states that \r\n\r\n is used to
terminate the header list, many servers in the wild will also accept
\n\n.

This is a follow-up to CVE-2022-24775 where the fix was incomplete.

For Debian 10 buster, these problems have been fixed in version
1.4.2-0.1+deb10u2.

We recommend that you upgrade your php-guzzlehttp-psr7 packages.
