Fedora 30 glibc FEDORA-2020-7f625c5ea8 Moderate: Stack Corruption Issues

fedora
Calendar Grey April 9, 2020
Dist Fedora Esm H88
This Debian patch resolves four medium priority glibc issues related to buffer overflow and stack corruption.
This update incorporates fixes from the upstream glibc 2.29 stable release branch, including 3 fixes for medium severity security vulnerabilities

Summary

The glibc package contains standard libraries which are used by

multiple programs on the system. In order to save disk space and

memory, as well as to make upgrading easier, common system code is

kept in one place and shared between programs. This particular package

contains the most important sets of shared libraries: the standard C

library and the standard math library. Without these two libraries, a

Linux system will not function.

This update incorporates fixes from the upstream glibc 2.29 stable release

branch, including 3 fixes for medium severity security vulnerabilities.
