This release resolves a data exposure issue in CUPS concerning SMB print authentication on Fedora platforms.
This update fixes an information leakage problem when printing to SMB shares requiring authentication

Summary

The Common UNIX Printing System provides a portable printing layer for

UNIX� operating systems. It has been developed by Easy Software Products

to promote a standard printing solution for all UNIX vendors and users.

CUPS provides the System V and Berkeley command-line interfaces.

Update Information:

This update fixes an information leakage problem when printing to SMB shares requiring authentication. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the name CAN-2004-0923 to this issue.
