Synopsis

Multiple vulnerabilities have been found in MySQL, the worst of which
could lead to privilege escalation.

Background
=========
MySQL is a popular multi-threaded, multi-user SQL server. MariaDB is an
enhanced, drop-in replacement for MySQL.
