Debian has rolled out a security patch for wayland that addresses a severe memory corruption vulnerability identified as CVE-2023-0585. Users are urged to apply this update promptly.

This update for xwayland fixes the following issues:

- CVE-2023-0494: Fixed a use-after-free in DeepCopyPointerClasses

(bsc#1207783).
