A recent update for python3-setuptools resolves a significant file writing vulnerability, accompanied by guidelines for both openSUSE and SUSE Linux user bases.

* CVE-2025-47273: path traversal in PackageIndex.download may lead to an

arbitrary file write (bsc#1243313).
