This update resolves critical ping issues related to buffer overflow in Red Hat Linux to enhance system security.
This update fixes various issues in ping including a possible buffer overflow.

Solution

For each RPM for your particular architecture, run:

rpm -Fvh [filename]

where filename is the name of the RPM.
