Red Hat: RHSA-2005:059-01 Critical: Xpdf Buffer Overflow Security Issue

Red Hat has issued an alert regarding a revised version of the Xpdf software aimed at remedying a critical buffer overflow vulnerability that impacts several Linux distributions.
Updated Xpdf package that fixes a stack based buffer overflow security issue is now available.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat Update Agent, use the following command:

up2date
