Updated DHCP software for Slackware made available to fix a severe security flaw in the platform.
New dhcp packages are available for Slackware 12.1, 12.2, 13.0, 13.1, 13.37, 14.0, and -current to fix a security issue

Summary

Here are the details from the Slackware 14.0 ChangeLog: patches/packages/dhcp-4.2.5_P1-i486-1_slack14.0.txz: Upgraded. This update replaces the included BIND 9 code that the DHCP programs link against. Those contained a defect that could possibly lead to excessive memory consumption and a denial of service.
