Updated libpng versions have been released for Slackware systems to tackle critical vulnerabilities efficiently.
New libpng packages are available for Slackware 13.0, 13.1, 13.37, 14.0, 14.1, and -current to fix security issues

Summary

Here are the details from the Slackware 14.1 ChangeLog: patches/packages/libpng-1.4.18-x86_64-1_slack14.1.txz: Upgraded. Fixed incorrect implementation of png_set_PLTE() that uses png_ptr not info_ptr, that left png_set_PLTE() open to the CVE-2015-8126 vulnerability. For more information, see: https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2015-8472 (* Security fix *)
