    The cdwtools package is a frontend for various programs used to create CDs. Several buffer overflows and /tmp vulnerabilities exist in the cdwtools package. Thanks to Brock Tellier bringing this problem to our attention.

    A security hole was discovered in the package mentioned above.
    Please update as soon as possible or disable the service if you are using
    this software on your SuSE Linux installation(s).
    
    Other Linux distributions or operating systems might be affected as
    well, please contact your vendor for information about this issue.

    1. Problem Description
    
       The cdwtools package is a frontend for various programs used to create
       CDs.
       Several buffer overflows and /tmp vulnerabilities exist in the cdwtools
       package.
       Thanks to Brock Tellier bringing this problem to our attention.
    
    2. Impact
    
       Everyone having the cdwtools package installed and SuSE configured for
       "easy" security setting (which is the default) are vulnerable to a
       local root compromise.
    
    3. Solution
    
       Update the cdwtools package. See below.
