Details:
Hideki Okamoto and Guy Lederfein discovered that Apache Log4j 2 did not
protect against infinite recursion in lookup evaluation. A remote attacker
could possibly use this issue to cause Apache Log4j 2 to crash, leading to
a denial of service.
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions: Ubuntu 21.10: liblog4j2-java 2.17.0-0.21.10.1 Ubuntu 21.04: liblog4j2-java 2.17.0-0.21.04.1 Ubuntu 20.04 LTS: liblog4j2-java 2.17.0-0.20.04.1 In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
