"In late September, 2000, the RSA Patent expires. Rivest, Shamir, and Adelman, Public Key Cryptography's most famous supergroup, developed this algorithm about 20 years ago. I'm not sure if I'll be having a party, but this is definately a major event in the security community. For the first time in 20 years we will have free big-time security algorithims!
