Fairfax County this week became the nerve center for the federal government's war on Internet crimes that cross international borders, with the opening of the U.S. Customs CyberSmuggling Center.

The new facility, near Route 50 and Waples Mill Road, features a computer forensics laboratory, video teleconferencing capabilities and classrooms for training international, federal and local law enforcement officers in computer investigation techniques.
