secure Linux server appliance software, today announced that it has closed a $3 million round of venture capital funding. WireX has developed a family of products and technologies that facilitates web-based delivery of built-to-order, highly secure Linux operating systems for server appliances. At the heart of each WireX server appliance is Immunix(tm) OS, a standard Linux distribution hardened with host-survivability technology that "immunizes" servers against current and future vulnerabilities. WireX hardens the Linux kernel and key modules and applications, then optimizes the operating system for server duty. Immunix technology tools provide three key benefits: host security, high availability, and system certification verification."
