Research Uncovers Browser Extensions Leaking User Data Risk

Do you used Firefox or Chrome as your web browser? Are you aware that browser plug-ins can be a threat to your privacy? 

Eight catastrophically leaky browser extensions were discovered byresearcher Sam Jadali, working withWashington Post columnist Geoffrey A. Fowler.

Together, they traced the privacy train wreck, dubbed DataSpii, to browser extensions (also known as add-ons or plug-ins) that run around doing things like making browsing better by finding coupons or remembering passwords or whatever.
