Just this week, I was spammed with a press release from ComputerCop, entitled "Famed NYPD Detective Urges Parents to Follow Congressional Advice to Monitor Children's Online Activities." The text reads, in part: "On the heels of the first-ever national study commissioned by Congress that details the online victimization of America's children, Mr. Bo Dietl, famed NYPD detective, is urging all parents to step up their efforts to police the cyber victimization of children." Of course, Mr. Dietl has a product to sell:
