A discussion about whether to install security cameras at a Park City park led to a debate about residents' rights to privacy Tuesday. The Park City City Council was considering the installation of security cameras at McLean Park due to problems with vandalism. Jack Whitson, director of economic development, planning and public works, said the park has sustained about $2,200 in damage this year.

He said vandals caused $3,000 to $4,000 in damage last year at the park. "I have problems spending $10,000 to catch someone doing $2,000 worth of damage," said council member Gary Davis.
