A report out today says that UK online advertising expenditures will top the 625 million pounds ($1 billion US$) mark by 2004 -- up from just 50 million pounds ($80 million) at the start of this year. The report, titled "Online Advertising Grows Up: Exploiting a New Marketing Medium," from Fletcher Research, part of the Forrester Group of companies, says that direct mail will be the most heavily impacted traditional marketing tactic.
