ABOUT HIVERCON In its second year, HiverCon is the only corporate European centric information security conference that caters for an international audience. Following last years conference, HiverCon 2003 will bring together the leading minds in the international security industry for an intense two day event. HiverCon covers the breaking security issues as well as the issues that are not quite upon us. More importantly HiverCon strives to teach the thinking and methodologies taken by hackers and researchers when breaking security. SUBMISSION OF PAPERS HiverCon 2003 will cover a range of topics on current issues in the security field. Below are guideline topics forpaper submission, but is by no means a definitive list, we especially welcome new research and previously untouched topics. Wireless Security Intrusion Detection Privacy & Anonymity Firewall Technologies Application Security Incident Response and Computer Forensics Security Auditing Biometrics All talks should be 75 minutes in length including time for delegate participation and questions at the end of the presentation. Inclusion of any talk related tools, white papers or source code will help during the selection process. While we try to facilitate speakers' requests for equipment, we may not be able to accommodate all requests. In cases where we cannot guarantee special equipment the speaker is expected to supply hardware and/or software. Each speaker is also expected to bring their own laptop to display their presentation. All talks must be vendor neutral, while speakers are welcome to present on behalf of a company - sales pitches will be thrown out. REMUNERATION For each chosen presentation HiverCon will pay for 1 round trip economy flight, 1 hotel room for 3 nights and 1 speaking fee of 1,000 Euro. SPEAKER REQUIREMENTS Please include the following information with your submission: What title you are submitting your paper under. A valid e-mail address AND telephone number where you can be reached. Number of people that will be presenting. A brief biography on why you are qualified to speak on your topic. This will be used on https://girizevermahal.com/about.html as well as in any press material for the conference. If you are speaking under a company name, please specify for which company you work. Talks detailing new research and vulnerabilities will get priority during the evaluation process. HiverCon is one of the few corporate security conferences that not only pays a speaker honorium but covers speaker travel and accommodation costs, and as such we favour talks that present original material that has not been seen before. Notethat by presenting at HiverCon 2003 you grant HiverCon permission to reproduce, distribute and/or advertise your talk as seen fit.
