Email Accounts Hacked in 15 Minutes: Overview of Security Experiment

A recently posted video on YouTube teaches viewer's how to hack into someone's email account in just 15 minutes. The video showed a group of volunteers follow an online "man in the middle technique" tutorial. It showed them learn in just fifteen minutes how to hack into a computer network. Illinois Academy: 12th Place National Cyber Challenge Achievement

With the CIA, NSA and Homeland Security looking over their shoulders, computer hacking teens from an Aurora high school placed 12th among 120 teams in a national competition.. The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy competed last week in the Seventh Annual Cyber Security Awareness Week event at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University in Brooklyn. NIST's National Cybersecurity Education Program for Workforce Growth

The National Institute of Standards and Technology will spearhead the national cybersecurity workforce development and awareness campaign. As part of the federal government's Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative, much of which was recently declassified, the National Institute of Standards and Technology has been enlisted to spearhead a new nationwide cybersecurity education initiative, the White House and Department of Commerce announced.. In an effort first revealed on April 19, NIST will be in charge of a multi-agency, four-track effort called the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education, which focuses on awareness, education, and workforce development. Much of the initiative focuses on developing the next generation of cybersecurity workers for government.
