Today we learned of the passing of a long-time contributor to the Linux and SpamAssassin communities. Jari Fredriksson ran a mirror for sa-update for a long time, contributed to our masscheck system, tested numerous releases, and has given us tons of great feedback over the years. He'll be missed. May his memory be a blessing. . Kevin McGrail, Chair Emeritus of the Apache SpamAssassin Project and one of the lead developers posted the following to the sa-users mailing list this morning. Some know that Jari's mirror broke a few weeks ago and we've been trying to reach him. I am sorry to [announce that Jari Fredriksson died on July 25th]. He was a great supporter of the project running an sa-update mirror, helping with our masscheck program, testing releases, and just generally being a great member of our community. On behalf of the entire project, I'd like to extend our condolences to him and his family. He will be missed.
