Fedora 7 Update: bochs-2.3-7.fc7

data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20100%20100%22%3E%3C/svg%3E

This security update of bochs fixes CVE-2007-2894: The emulated floppy disk controller in Bochs 2.3 allows local users of the guest operating system to cause a denial of service (virtual machine crash) via unspecified vectors, resulting in a divide-by-zero error.

Fedora Core 6 Update: kernel-2.6.22.1-32.fc6

data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20100%20100%22%3E%3C/svg%3E

The decode_choice function in net/netfilter/bf_conntrack_h323_asn1.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.22 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via an encoded, out-of-range index value for a choice field, which triggers a NULL pointer dereference.

Fedora Core 6 Update: gdm-2.16.5-2.fc6

data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20100%20100%22%3E%3C/svg%3E

Gdm (the GNOME Display Manager) is a highly configurable reimplementation of xdm, the X Display Manager. JLANTHEA reported a denial of service flaw in the way that gdm listens on its unix domain socket. Any local user can crash the locally running X session.

Fedora Core 6 Update: thunderbird-1.5.0.12-2.fc6

data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20100%20100%22%3E%3C/svg%3E

Mozilla Thunderbird is a standalone mail and newsgroup client. Several flaws were found in the way Thunderbird processed certain malformed JavaScript code. A malicious HTML email message containing JavaScript code could cause Thunderbird to crash or potentially execute arbitrary code as the user running Thunderbird. JavaScript support is disabled by default in Thunderbird; these issues are not exploitable unless the user has enabled JavaScript.

Fedora Core 6 Update: firefox-1.5.0.12-4.fc6

data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20100%20100%22%3E%3C/svg%3E

Mozilla Firefox is an open-source web browser, designed for standards compliance, performance and portability. Several flaws were found in the way Firefox processed certain malformed JavaScript code. A web page containing malicious JavaScript code could cause Firefox to crash or potentially execute arbitrary code as the user running Firefox.

Fedora Core 6 Update: httpd-2.2.4-2.1.fc6

data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20100%20100%22%3E%3C/svg%3E

The Apache HTTP Server did not verify that a process was an Apache child process before sending it signals. A local attacker with the ability to run scripts on the Apache HTTP Server could manipulate the scoreboard and cause arbitrary processes to be terminated which could lead to a denial of service (CVE-2007-3304). This issue is not exploitable on Fedora if using the default SELinux targeted policy.

Fedora Core 5 Update: httpd-2.2.2-1.3

data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20100%20100%22%3E%3C/svg%3E

Fedora Core 5 Update: kernel-2.6.20-1.2320.fc5

data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20100%20100%22%3E%3C/svg%3E

Integer underflow in the cpuset_tasks_read function in the Linux kernel before 2.6.20.13, and 2.6.21.x before 2.6.21.4, when the cpuset filesystem is mounted, allows local users to obtain kernel memory contents by using a large offset when reading the /dev/cpuset/tasks file.

Fedora Core 5 Update: openoffice.org-2.0.2-5.22.2

data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20100%20100%22%3E%3C/svg%3E

A heap overflow flaw was found in the RTF import filer. An attacker could create a carefully crafted RTF file that could cause OpenOffice.org to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code if the file was opened by a victim. All users of OpenOffice.org are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which contain a backported fix to correct this issue.

Fedora Core 6 Update: kernel-2.6.20-1.2962.fc6

data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20100%20100%22%3E%3C/svg%3E

Fedora Core 5 Update: libexif-0.6.12-5

data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20100%20100%22%3E%3C/svg%3E

An integer overflow flaw was found in the way libexif parses EXIF image tags. If a victim opens a carefully crafted EXIF image file it could cause the application linked against libexif to execute arbitrary code or crash. (CVE-2007-4168) Users of libexif should upgrade to these updated packages, which contain a backported patch and are not vulnerable to this issue.
