A flaw in libvirt exposes local users to potential root privilege escalation. It is recommended to update to version 6.7.0 to address this vulnerability.

Summary

A file descriptor for /dev/mapper/control was insufficiently protected.

Resolution

All libvirt users should upgrade to the latest version: # emerge --sync # emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose ">=app-emulation/libvirt-6.7.0"
