Many universities, graduate students, and research organizations are looking for topics on security research. The Honeynet Project has many areas that require extensive research. The purpose of this site is to bring the needs of these organizations together. Here you will find specific topics that the Honeynet Project needs help in. Individuals and organizations are highly encouraged to lead the research in any of these topics, as part of a funded research project, grants, class requirements, or thesis papers. This can be done on your own, or as members of the Honeynet Research Alliance. If you like, the Honeynet Project can also list your contact information next to a specific topic, so other members of the security community can contact and work with you on a specific research project. To learn more, contact research@honeynet.org. Below, research topics are listed, broken down into five different categories.
