A wireless network acts much like a wired network, with a few notable exceptions. On the positive side, a wireless network gives users the freedom to roam around the office while maintaining connectivity to the network. It also frees systems administrators from the burden of having to string wire to various locations throughout the building.

However, wireless networks come with plenty of drawbacks as well. Perhaps the most serious of them is weak security.
