When questioned about the growing popularity and use of Linux in the enterprise world, Pereira defended his choice by saying, "It may be carving its own space in the enterprise space, but we would still prefer proprietary software over Linux, which is more standard-driven."

Taking his pick on the much-debated security aspects of Linux, Pereira stated, "The very fact that the source code is open, is something we are not too comfortable with. I cannot imagine having a 20 programmer team with full view access of the source code."

Explaining his viewpoint further, Pereira maintained, "Lack of standardization and support are the other key reasons that prevent us from adopting Linux."
