Interlink Networks announced Tuesday that it has released version 2.0 of its LucidLink Wireless Security solution. The software now supports businesses with up to 250 wireless users working on Windows 2000 or Windows XP PCs.

The 802.11 WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) solution offers automatic network configuration; RADIUS authentication with 802.1X, WPA-enterprise, and 802.11i standards-based security; two-click user registration and authorization; and guest authorization so a company can grant wireless access to contractors, vendors, and consultants for a specific length of time. Interlink claims its software is simple enough to be handled by non-technical staff such as an office manager or receptionist.

Version 2.0 adds Windows 2000 support and the ability to add up to 250 users to the wireless network. Other features include a remote management console for administrator access from any PC, flexibility in setting user expiration and reauthorization dates, and the ability to sort users in multiple ways when troubleshooting or changing privileges.
